How many innocent people are in prison? How many innocent people are sitting on death row? How many people have been killed? Its disgusting! Im in Canada and im not sure about our system either but its better than America by far. I believe anyone that touches a child in anyway deserves the ultimate punishment cause theres no rehabilitation for people like that, theres more of a chance of rehabilitating murders, not sure about serial killers though? Drug offences or drug addicts should not be in prison, rehabilitation 100% they are not a danger. Drug dealers thats a bit different but rehabilitation, being taught to do things differently, training, jobs, is a better idea. Is it Norway that trains their prisoners for a future? Theyre not even treated so much as prisoners but have to stay in custody but are taught skills for when they leave for a better life. Thats a better idea. Down there reoffending doesnt occur cause they give these people something towards their future. Every country should have that policy.

By the time the courtroom scenes happen my husband was completely checked out. There is never any real dramatic music or quicker paced scenes... everything is pretty monotone, with bland scenery and really boring wardrobe. I would have liked someone to have a personality, a little humor, interesting ything. It's unfortunate because the last 10 minutes are the highlight of the film but most probably won't make it to the end.

I will definitely see Just Mercy. I already knew that Brysn Stevenson is an amazing man who allowed me to look at the juvenile justice system differently.
